Privacy and data use

Your location powers the trip—not an advertising profile.

Last updated 25 October 2026. This notice explains how Bikes Taxi uses account, vehicle, journey and location information.

Information the service uses

Passenger accounts use a name, mobile number, password-based sign-in, saved places, ride history, ratings and support information. Driver applications also include CNIC, driving-licence details, licence expiry, vehicle category, plate and model, registration expiry, passenger capacity, approval status, availability, earnings summaries and trip history.

Location and trip information

Pickup and drop-off coordinates are used for route estimates and dispatch. A driver shares a current position while online or completing an assigned trip. A passenger may share a current position during an active trip so the assigned driver can find the pickup safely. Location timestamps are shown so stale positions are not presented as live.

How information is used

Information is used to create and secure accounts, review driver applications, estimate and dispatch rides, show live trip progress, calculate operational summaries, prevent conflicting ride acceptance, resolve support questions, and maintain administrator audit history.

Public trip links

A passenger can choose to share a trip-specific tracking link. The link shows limited ride status, route points, and the current driver position needed to follow that trip. It does not expose account passwords or passenger phone numbers. Anyone who receives the link may open it, so it should be shared only with trusted people.

Nearby vehicles and feedback

Before booking, the passenger map groups recent available vehicles into approximate areas. It does not publish driver identities or exact positions. Completed-trip rating totals are published only after at least five ratings. Private trip comments are not published; optional public reviews require separate permission as explained below.

Device choices

With location permission already granted, the booking screen may use a fresh, accurate device location as the pickup. You can change it or choose a map pin without GPS. Language and sign-in preferences are stored on your device; public journey plans store only selected area identifiers for up to twenty minutes.

Optional public reviews and WhatsApp

Public reviews are separate from private trip comments. If you explicitly agree, your first name, completed-trip rating and submitted public text may be published after moderation. Withdraw publication permission in account settings. Withdrawal or account closure hides the review; an internal consent and moderation record may remain. Opening WhatsApp support shares your message with the configured support number through WhatsApp; no trip location or password is automatically included.

Your password

Your password is processed by our sign-in provider. Support staff cannot view your password. Never send your password to a driver, another passenger or support.

Service providers

Bikes Taxi uses Supabase for sign-in and journey records, Cloudflare for website and service hosting, and OpenStreetMap, MapLibre and OpenRouteService for maps and routes. These providers receive information needed to provide their services.

Retention and your choices

Use account settings or the deletion guide to close your account. Sign-in access, saved places and direct profile identifiers are removed. Journey locations, landmarks, fares, safety and audit records may be retained for disputes and operational requirements. Removing profile identifiers does not make location records anonymous. Contact support for information about retention periods and your deletion request.
